Why Bother Training your Dog

A well behaved dog is a joy to live with, and training should start from the moment you bring it home. Whether a new puppy, or an older dog from a rescue centre, a dog coming into your family should bring happiness and pleasure for the duration of its lifetime. However, many dogs do not just fit into the family situation without giving it some education and guidance so taking it to a school where trainers can help and advise the best methods to achieve this is always a good and sensible suggestion.

All dogs need to be socialised, and the earlier the better. Puppies learn not just from each other, but from the older dogs too. Puppies are like sponges and can learn quickly what is required of them, while with some of the older dogs it is just time and patience which will bring out the best in them.

Training a dog is not as easy as people think, it needs dedication, time and most of all patience. Within our classes we only use well tried and trusted methods, reward based and kindness and fun being a big part of how we work with both dog and owner. With 3 schools a week, from San Pedro in Marbella, Estepona and Sabinillas in Manilva, we are well positioned to cover a small part of the Costa del Sol in Spain.

We have seen many dogs over the years and have great friendships with their owners who have happy and well mannered dogs. Our aim is to help those people who feel they are responsible owners give their dogs the best chance of becoming well behaved and socially acceptable pets, as well as being a very special part of their leves and family.
